Introducing Mylo's Pet Hotel

Pemba Publishing has been busy recently, working on the creatives for a fantastic new enterprise.  Mylo's Pet Hotel is a state-of-the-art dog boarding facility in Ghana.  Our Design Services and our Writing Services came together with Mylos Pet Hotel to launch their online presence.  Their first Wordpress website, customised and optimized by Pemba Publishing can be visited at mylospethotel.wordpress.com. 

Our Writing Services provided the written work for the website and our Design Services developed the artwork, including the 'Mylo's Pet Hotel' logo.

Pemba Publishing is pleased to have been involved in helping Nii Noi Nortey give an autobiographical account to his audience, via another YouTube video presentation.

In this latest title, Nii Noi Nortey in His Own Words, Nii Noi tells of his musical journey, starting with his introduction to the Saxophone as a young student in Birmingham, England. He talks about the influences that helped make him the multifaceted and accomplished musician and artist he is today.  

The video is interspersed with snippets of Nii Noi's performances, both solo and gigging on the Accra circuit with his band.  

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Immortalise 'Lilibet'

 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have given birth to their second child.  This happy news, gives yet fresh opportunity for the loud halers of public opinion, to fire up once again. 

The issue on this occasion, is that the couple have named their daughter, 'Lilibet'.  Thereby, immortalising yet another aspect of the personage of Queen Elizabeth the Second.

The Art of Nii Noi Nortey

Nii Noi Nortey is a Ghanaian musician resident in Accra. But more than a musician, he is also a visual artist. 

He uses an eclectic array of artefacts, memorabilia and miscellaneous pieces, as his medium to assemble complex sculptors that reflect his equally complex persona. 

Cynthia Erivo in Trouble Again

You may have heard the saying, lightening doesn’t strike the same place twice.  Well, that doesn’t seem to apply to British actress Cynthia Erivo who has been able to get sparks flying among sections of the African American community, not once but twice, over the very same issue.  That is, her selection by Hollywood to portray giant icons in the African- American pantheon while not being African American. 

It began back in 2018 when Erivo first landed the title role in the Harriet biopic.

Pemba Publishing supports Kemet Foundation School

 

Kemet Foundation School is a community infant and lower junior school located in the Eastern Region of Ghana.  

The school has been in existence since 1997 working with parents in a disadvantaged farming community  with the care and education of elementary level school children.  

Over three decades KFS  evolved into full nursery primary and junior secondary school, serving the wider district with the aid an active sponsorship scheme with international support. 'Kemet' was school to over 200 children at its peak with a throng of up to 15 teaching and non-teaching staff in support.

Pemba Publishing is proud to support Kemet Foundation School.  We help with the school's communications and publicity and we create have created most of their promotional artwork.
